Weekday mornings are the quietest
We had a great experience albeit not cheap. The pink afternoon tea is a fun thing to do with the family. Nice savoury and sweet treats for everyone, including special ones for the kids. The biggest surprise was the b-day dessert surprise, as none of us alerted the staff. Not sure if a previous note reminded them. Nonetheless, a great surprise. Thank you.
My recent visit to Pink in Dublin was genuinely one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. What should have been a simple, enjoyable meal turned into a frustrating evening, largely due to the manager’s attitude and the complete lack of basic customer care. I ordered a burger that unexpectedly came with pork, which I do not eat. I politely asked if it would be possible to have the burger remade without pork. Instead of any understanding or even a simple apology, the manager came over, stated “yeah, the burger is with pork,” and immediately turned her back and walked away. That wasn’t what we asked, and it certainly wasn’t an explanation , it was dismissal. No kindness, no effort to clarify, no attempt to help. Even if it’s their policy not to remake dishes, there is a respectful way to communicate that, especially when you’re managing a business where customer service should be a priority. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, we discovered that because it was Valentine’s Day, the set menu price had been increased. What would normally cost €37.50 was suddenly €45, (starter normally is 12,50 and burger 25) . After the service we received, it felt like salt in the wound. This was my first time at Pink, and it will absolutely be my last. If you want to enjoy a meal without feeling dismissed or disrespected, I strongly recommend choosing another restaurant. No one should leave a dining experience feeling the way we did.
I’d like to share my honest experience from my partner's and my visit to Pink restaurant. We had made our reservation on New Year’s Eve through OpenTable, taking the last available time slot at 9:30 pm, which worked best given my partner’s work schedule that evening. Early that morning, I received a call asking if we could move our booking to 9 pm. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible due to my partner’s commitments, and while I did feel a bit frustrated by the early call, I appreciated the follow-up email apologising for the timing and confirming our original reservation. Now, let me talk about the food—it is simply outstanding! The chefs at Pink truly deserve all the praise for their culinary creations. What stood out, unfortunately, was the approach of the restaurant manager. As soon as we walked in, the manager abruptly informed us that they would be closing at 9:30 pm and urged us to “be quick.” Thankfully, we had already reviewed the menu and knew what to order, but the welcome felt a bit off. It was only the warm smile from the Brazilian waitress that helped ease the initial tension. The food itself was fantastic, and the timing of service was well managed. Kudos to the chefs for their brilliant work! When it came time to settle the bill, I politely asked the same Brazilian waitress who had been so lovely. Before she returned with the bill, the manager approached our table. I had to mention that I’d already requested the bill, which was a bit frustrating. It would have been more appropriate for her to check in with her staff first rather than interrupting us. Additionally, there were several other tables still enjoying their time, so it felt unnecessary for her to rush us. Having worked in senior management within this industry myself, I must commend the friendly demeanor of the waiting staff and the skilled barman/mixologist who crafted delightful cocktails. The chefs truly excelled in service, presentation, and flavor. It's just a shame that the restaurant manager seemed to embody a more controlling role rather than one of warm hospitality. One thing to note is that a tip was automatically added to our bill. I understand this is a common practice for larger tables, but it felt a bit presumptuous for just the two of us. While I did leave a tip along with a donation to a good cause, I prefer the choice of how much to tip without it being pre-determined. Lastly, I must say that the decor and ambiance of the restaurant are beautiful. It’s clear that a good investment has been made in creating a lovely environment. Despite the hiccup with customer service, I genuinely wish Pink all the best for 2026 and encourage others to experience the wonderful food they offer!
An excellent surprise in Dublin. The place is beautiful and quiet. I felt really safe and Karla was an amazing hostess. I strongly recommand the cocktails but even more the desserts ! Thanks again for having me 🩷
The food, drinks and atmosphere were great, however the service could be better. I made a reservation and still had to wait outside until I can sit on our table with my friend, even when we came on time.
