Nelly's

Came here after reading some reviews. Unfortunately it was quite disappointing and underwhelming. Coffee wasn’t a good flat white with a bit of a burnt beans flavour. Not very hot once it arrived to the table. I tried the sourdough ham and cheese toastie. Nothing special about it. It was a bit bland and soggy. The ham did not taste homemade as per menu. The place itself is a bit off putting. The tables weren’t cleaned well. It’s quite empty and has an eerie feeling about it. There is no music. Not a relaxing atmosphere

Loved the atmosphere of this place, so cozy and welcoming! The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely one of my new favorite spots!🙏

lovely wee place with great staff! the food was fabulous, the chef alex made me a vegan option apon request and it was delish! i had an oat latte and it was very good quality, they sell their own beans and grounds to take away. great service from anna and lena at the till, such friendly girls who made us feel extremely welcome so far away from home.

A truly sensational experience. When I arrived at Nelly's I was first taken aback by the community center vibe I thought I might be in the wrong place from what I have seen on Google. After looking at the menu I settled on a mango chicken sandwich which sounded lovely. The stuff we're super friendly and after I said I would like to sit outside they cleaned the chairs for us as it was a bit wet which I thought was really kind. When the food came it looks exquisitely, Delicious! And the only disappointing thing about it with the final bite as there was no more. I would highly recommend the food was inexpensive for the level of quality

Hi there. I'm a student from Dorset College, in the same building, and my break time is usually between 11am and 12pm. But the breakfast menu finishes at 11 and the lunch menu starts at 12. So all the students have to go somewhere else to eat, because the Café doesn't serve any food on our lunch time. It's actually not a complain, it's more like an advise, cause we could be spending money here in this Cafe which is much more easy for us to access than having to go somewhere else. By the way the food is delicious. I'm not usually impressed by food, but I have to say that the chicken sandwich I had here was sooooo amazing. I could easily say it's the best chicken sandwich I ever had.
