Café Sol

I visit this café almost every day for lunch, mainly because I don’t have many other options nearby. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently disappointing. The staff are often rude and dismissive, especially Nancy, and it frequently feels as though they’re annoyed simply by having to serve customers. Recently, they have been asking local students to leave, saying that business people will be coming in and need the tables even when the students have already bought food and drinks. What’s particularly frustrating is that this treatment doesn’t seem to apply to older customers. I understand that cafés may need to manage seating during busy periods, but it feels unfair and discriminatory to single out students who are paying customers, especially as they are the ones spending the most money in this place. No one especially polite, paying customers deserves to be treated this way. Management definitely needs to look into this place.

The food here might be ok at normal times, but don't do the Too Good to Go surprise bags here. We did this yesterday and I go 3 wraps. Two which were the same. These are end of day products, but the quality of this was definitely 'too bad to sell'. Too Good to Go was really good when I used it while working in London. But I deleted the app after some very poor experiences there. One try in Dublin and I've deleted this app again.

Very nice food. With reasonable prices too. I especially enjoy the Bueno tiffin. Would recommend.

Ate breakfast (porridge for €2 - tasted great) and lunch (sweet potato salad is lovely) here serveral times during a short trip. Excellent selection of food and drinks, decent prices and fantastic staff/service and a generous sitting area. Would gladly recommend.

We only had chocolate and coffee, and spent an hour or so, everything was ok, but bit too noisy, probably some school not far away, so if you are looking for quiet place to have a coffee….not for you. Ali the rest, not bad.
