came in for a quick bite to eat and oh my god, beautiful Italian dishes full of flavour and richness, this is now my new favourite Italian place i will be returning 🤌🏼🤩
Fabulous experience at this beautiful restaurant. Wonderful staff, Therese went out of her way to provide us with a table during a very busy time. Delicious food, wine and even a hot chocolate for the kids. Couldn’t recommend enough!
Upon entering, my friends and I were very excited to get a pizza, especially having realised the Christmas market was closed. We didn’t even have our coats off when the waitress came over to ask if we were ready to order. This in itself was fine but she didn’t say “that’s fine take your time”, she turned around abruptly as if annoyed. When she came back, we tried to order two mains and one of our friends was not too hungry so just wanted a side. We were then informed that the restaurant had a minimum spend policy before a certain time, and I had to get a 16 inch pizza because our friends only got a side. She also said “and of course you’ll have to order drinks” when we asked for tap water, and didn’t want to spend money on drinks. We’re all college students who also work so this seemed strange to us, and she made us feel embarrassed. The policy was for the market which wasn’t even open today, the 24th. We noticed that the couple next to us with a small child were allowed to order a proportionately smaller amount of food, two small pizzas and a kids meal. This seemed unfair, as we were forced to spend more money and I had to try and force myself to eat the bigger pizza to make it worthwhile. While the food was very nice and we had a pleasant experience in this restaurant last year, this was disappointing and left a sour taste in our mouths. I’m reluctant to return now, I understand money can be tight but never before have I been forced to order a certain amount at a restaurant, simply not proper etiquette.
This restaurant was close to the Christmas market in Smithfield. The staff were quick and I enjoyed the Christmas music playing. Unfortunately the food was not great. We ordered the hot sauce wings (not pictured) as an appetizer. The sauce was nice, but clearly frozen wings. We ordered a 16 inch pizza, a Caesar salad, a Caesar salad with chicken, and the risotto. The pizza was fine- nothing spectacular or even that great. The same for the risotto- it was okay but bland. The salads were bland and the chicken had a chemically grill taste.
Sea food pasta was amazing. Great portion of food. Warm welcome. Looking forward to returning 😀 😊
