Prolog

A small café in the neighbourhood. I don't go there for its particularly beautiful interior, but because they roast and sell amazing coffee. Even the washed has an extremely fruity note, which you would otherwise only expect from natural processed beans.

Staff was more busy chatting with each other than serving coffee for the queue of 10 people in that small store. And apparently you can skip the queue if you are a friend of the unpassionated people working there. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to paying customers who were patiently waiting to be served. While the line kept growing, employees showed no urgency, no acknowledgment of the waiting customers, and no attempt to manage the queue in a fair and efficient manner. Instead, priority was given to personal conversations and friends of the staff, who were served ahead of others without any explanation or apology. A coffee shop relies heavily on speed, customer service, and basic fairness — especially during busy periods. What I experienced was the complete opposite. The atmosphere felt disorganized, unwelcoming, and careless, making customers feel ignored and undervalued. Waiting in line is acceptable; being blatantly disregarded is not. This kind of service reflects poorly on the management and overall standards of the establishment. If staff members are unwilling or unable to focus on customers during operating hours, then proper training or supervision is clearly needed. Until this is addressed, I cannot recommend this place to others and will seriously reconsider returning myself.

I had a quick breakfast here before leaving Copenhagen and it was a fantastic send off. The cardamom bun did not disappoint! I also had a drip coffee that was lovely I wish I could have hung out inside of this place for a bit. It was a wonderful spot!

By far the best coffee spot we visited, with iced coffee so wonderfully crafted and smooth that we ended up going back every morning. Each cup was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and clearly made with care and quality beans. The staff were friendly and quick, even during the busiest hours. It does get a bit crowded at peak times, but the wait is absolutely worth it for coffee this good. The vibe is relaxed yet energetic, making it a great place to start the day. If you love great coffee, this place should be at the top of your list.

I had been looking forward to visiting Prolog for quite awhile, and it didn’t disappoint. The service, coffee and pastries were incredible, and the barista was very kind. If you visit Copenhagen and appreciate coffee, Prolog is a must-visit
