The coffee and the pastries were really nice and of good quality. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. The girl at the counter was very rude, unhelpful, and had a bad attitude from the moment we arrived. There was no effort to be polite or welcoming, which is disappointing for a place that has such good products. Good food and drinks are important, but customer service matters just as much, and sadly it was lacking here. I wouldn’t come back.
Great coffee. Awful service. Cappuccino was amazing and the blueberry muffin was perfect. But the customer service? Wow. Painful. We were a big group and the café wasn’t even busy, yet the woman calling orders acted annoyed from the moment we walked in. She skipped our number, and the worst part is I literally turned my head for ONE second just checking if someone had the number before me and boom, she jumped straight to the one after. When I said “I’m 332,” she snapped “I called it twice” with attitude. No, you didn’t. We all saw it. Then my family member asked for the bathroom. Ignored. Asked again. Ignored. Finally she pressed the button like it physically hurt her. It’s one button: relax. Also: How do you serve large coffees with no lids? Seriously. Shoutout to the nice barista making drinks she was the only decent interaction. But one kind person doesn’t fix the experience. Amazing coffee, great bakery, terrible attitude at the front. Could easily be 5 stars. Right now? 1.
Lagkagehuset is a great spot for coffee and pastries in Copenhagen. The coffee is good, and the pastries are fresh and delicious! A bit pricey and can get busy, but overall a solid 4/5 for the pastries. 🥐☕
Lovely food and a great choice of savoury and sweet food available. The only thing that bought it down is there was 1 member of staff in for the hour we were there. She was amazing but she needed help. It was constant for her with 3/4 people waiting at a time.
There are multiple, numerous branches of this café franchise, in Copenhagen. The address and the pictures of the branch that I am reviewing here are accurate, I verified patiently. The photos of a review that I saw on some website does not correspond to the particular branch that I am reviewing here. That could be unfair, when it is a negative review, because each branch is operated by different people. * * * During our long walk through the streets of the beautiful city of Amsterdam, we took a coffee-break in this place. It was clean, quiet, hospitable. One of the young ladies at the counter had a very nice smile, the other seemed to be in a bad mood, but that's all right, it happens to all of us. The coffee was quite decent (as it usually is, in Europe), and the pastries we savored were fresh, delicious, of good quality. There is a second, semi-floor level in this particular branch of this café, a nice and cozy space, with seats and tables. We relaxed there for a while, before continuing our excursion through the beautiful, animated streets of this very charming city.
