Den Franske Cafe

Familybrunch with daughter and granddaughter. Everything was fresh and well made. I got changed a part of brunch changed witouth problems. Coffee and juice was very good. There was only thing that wondered me. It is that it called the French cafe, but it was without any french cheese, like brie.

Friendly but understaffed. Due to lack of hands i got told to carry my hot tea, ice tea and cake to my table. I said I dont have enough hands and got offered to take a tray. I dont know if self service is the policy is in this place. It definitely doesn't give you any impression of good service.

The burger and the bun had a very strange taste and smell. The meat had no taste at all. Fries were quite dry. The salad was quite watery - the water was not drained properly when they rinced it. I do not recommend the food at this café.

Brunch, Breakfast,Best to choose for having a relaxing time on the osterport great area… Dem Franske Cafe has a good balance of breakfast choices in the menu and coffees that you can enjoy.. on hint 🤓.. try the sugar cubes.. next to the place with the water jug and available amenities!

The hot chocolate is 52kr and you’re paying for the whipped cream and the view… The croque monsieur was very nice and crunchy and altogether I paid 192kr. However, I didn’t appreciate seeing the young blonde waitress redoing her hair right next to the bread and coffee station. She did not wash her hands afterwards. Not something I want to see after finishing my meal..
