It was a very different experience. We had a great time, even though we didn't know how much we liked playing board games. It was very crowded and nearly impossible to find space, but if you have the chance, you should absolutely give it a try. This cafe is in a building where every level has a different kind of area, for example, a noodle restaurant, a movie area, and a music bar.
It was very busy when we visited, so we sat on a large table with others - there was no table service and required self clearing and unforunately people before did not do that and there was limited space to put dirty dishes. The hot chocolates were nice though, very simple although did the job. There is a number of board games available to play for free and a wide selection to purchase from. There is two parts to this cafe, there is the initial lower ground section and then the further from the road, main cafe area. Business and availability varies depending on demand although if you were wanting to play a game with friends, it is recommended to reserve a table in advance.
AFFORDABLE FUN! Best place in Copenhagen to bring friends and have casual fun without it’s getting pricy. Board games of all sorts- something for everyone. Quick games and long strategy games. Food I can recommend: Triple Truffle Toast - both delicious, filling and affordable. Easy to eat while playing. Seatings can be a bit tricky. Saturday now is hectic even from 14.00 and almost impossible to find a spot cause all tables now seems to be booked. Wish they had only a certain amount that could be booked and not all tables. But used to be able to get a table before 16.00 on a weekday some years ago - not sure if that’s still possible?
Great little cafe . Lots of seating options and if you love board games then this place is heaven. The food was good and nice selection of beers and none alcoholic drinks. We spent a good hour just people watching and relaxing
What an iconic place, there are so many different games to play and a good selection of drinks. We spent two evenings here during our trip in CPH and had a wonderful time. Even though it was pretty full, we were able to find spots because the place is huge. To our surprise we even found a mahjong set here! Their chunky fries are fantastic👏🏻
