Weekday mornings are the quietest
I’ve been coming to Taste Cafe for about 8 years now, and I still keep coming back every time I visit Chiang Mai. It’s one of those places I feel genuinely connected to. The coffee has always been consistent — rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced, just the way I like it. Whether I order my usual favorite or try something new, I’m never disappointed. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, great for relaxing, catching up with friends, or even getting some work done. The staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even more special. For me, Taste Cafe is a must-visit spot in Chiang Mai — a place I’ll always return to. ☕
Fairly crowded on a Sunday morning around 8:45am, but we managed to get a table for two. The crowd continued to build up shortly after. Food options are limited, though there’s a wide variety of drinks. We tried the classic shiopan and the shiopan with pork and cream cheese. The classic shiopan was dense on the outside, hollow in the middle, and nicely buttery with a hint of salt — enjoyable. We had a mocha and a latte; both were decent. The music was a little loud, but overall it’s a pleasant spot to sit, relax, and people-watch. Note: credit cards are not accepted — payment is via cash or QR only.
Taste Cafe has a great atmosphere and really good coffee. The must try is the Soft Latte. For non coffee drinkers, there are Soft Chocolate, Soft Matcha, and Soft Thai Tea. The cream topping is smooth, lightly sweet, and pairs perfectly with the coffee. I had been in Chiang Mai for 5 days I went there twice, REALLY LOVE HERE
What a lovely surprise. A contemporary looking spacious open-plan coffee shop with really great coffee, a relaxed musical vibe, prompt & friendly service from the staff and a huge tasty chocolate brownie. Cannot fault it. You must come and get some.
Among the countless coffee shops in Chiang Mai, this one stands out as truly exceptional. I would confidently rank it in the top ten! Great coffee and good vibes! However, this cafe tends to be quite busy throughout the day. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a quiet place. Soft Latte is my fav!! I bet you try
