Covered market with vendor stalls selling produce, meats, meals, clothing & various bric-a-brac....
I travelled all over Thailand to taste the best Cha Yen, the lady with the small stall near the entry to the market takes the cake! It is the BEST Thai milk tea in all of Thailand I will make a trip to Chiang Mai just to get another one!
An authentic Thai wet market with an authentic food court. For the tourists that want to really taste real Thai food taste. I saw so many tourists eating westernized foods at many westernized restaurants just meters away. Eat real Thai food while in Thailand and immerse yourself in the Thai culture a little bit. You’ll thank yourself later.
An okay market to go visit. It has a different vibe than most other markets because of the wooden structures surrounding it. When I went there not many stalls were open yet but I guess it can get pretty packed once all vendors are here. I enjoyed 15 minutes here walking around looking at everything. There’s also a couple of small hidden bars in this area
Somphet market offers a delightful experience for food lovers on a budget. With meals for as low as 35 to 50 baht, the market offers a variety of delicious options such as fish noodle soup, stir-fried kale on rice, and shrimp fried rice. What makes this place truly special is the freshness of the food. The vendors prepare everything right before your eyes, ensuring that each bite is as fresh and flavorful as possible. The servings are generous, making it an exceptional value for the money. The winding alleyways are filled with numerous food stalls, each offering something unique and tasty. From local favorites to unexpected culinary surprises, the options are vast and cater to all palates. It is a must-visit destination for those seeking a rich and authentic Thai culinary experience without breaking the bank. The combination of fresh, tasty food and the vibrant atmosphere of the market creates a dining experience that's hard to beat.
Hidden gem, very relaxed, they sell different types of seasons, dry fruits and if you want a fresh fruit salad make sure to stop at the salad bar. If you are driving a scooter there is parking inside.
