L’Opéra is a French bakery and restaurant located near Anantara Chiang Mai. The place has a cozy European-style atmosphere and is a nice spot for breakfast, coffee, or dessert. The pastries and cakes are very good, especially the croissants and French-style desserts, which taste fresh and authentic. The presentation is also beautiful. Most of the customers are international visitors, so the vibe feels quite relaxed and international. The café is located right next to the road, which makes it easy to find. One thing to note is that there is no designated smoking area, and because the seating is close to the street, sometimes you may notice cigarette smoke from outside. People who are sensitive to smoke might not feel very comfortable. Overall, it’s still a nice place to enjoy French pastries and coffee in Chiang Mai. 🧇🥐🥨🥯🍞🥖🍳🥓🌮🥗
A very delicious bakery place. I had croissant and sort of almond crispy biscuits. May even tastes much better if freshly baked. Prices are on par with quality. Seller should know some basics about bakery.
We (14 of us) were on an Intrepid Travel tour and our guide recommended this place. We went for breakfast and we were all happy with what we got. My croissant was light, fluffy and fresh.
Love everything about this place! Definitely my go to number 1 spot in Chiangmai, the owner is super friendly and lovely, very inspiring to hear her journey! Must try baked goods in my opinion are APPLE CRUMBLE (it was splendid!) Their pistachio and wallnut sourdough is equally amazing, of course how can you miss a croissant (nice texture) their jam is just divine. I can’t forget that taste its just so memorable! I bought home a Brioche bread and I must admit I am still dreaming about it! I really do hope I live in Chiangmai and I will come to this bakery every day
I visited this famous bakery in Chiang Mai during my trip after hearing great things about their bread. It was already packed with locals at 8:00 AM, which clearly shows its popularity. Mini Croissant: 25 THB Mini Chocolate Croissant: 25 THB Apple Pie: 60 THB Everything was perfectly delicious. The pastry was rich with the aroma of butter and had a wonderful crispy, multi-layered texture. It paired excellently with coffee. Since the bread was so good, I also ordered a bacon quiche, and it was equally superb. I will definitely be back.
