Weekday mornings are the quietest
As this was our last day in Thailand, we thought we’d have one more Thai tea before leaving. We chose Gloria Jean's Coffees since it was the closest option to our gate. When ordering, I asked for less ice, which the staff member didn’t seem particularly pleased about. We paid by credit card and received our drink in about three to four minutes. The taste was just alright. Even with less ice, the drink somehow still tasted a bit watered down and wasn’t impressive. For the price, it was acceptable, but it didn’t quite live up to the typical Thai tea standards you find around Bangkok. That said, perhaps it’s reasonable by airport standards.
Extremely disappointing experience at Gloria Jean’s Coffee, Suvarnabhumi Airport. An accidental incident occurred when our 2-year-old toddler knocked over a few cookie boxes. Only two boxes had broken cookies, yet the staff member aggressively demanded payment for all five. Despite us being polite and cooperative, she repeatedly raised her voice and even threatened to call security. Eventually, to avoid further conflict, we paid for all five boxes. After payment, my husband politely told her she could keep and sell the boxes that were not broken, as we did not need them. Her response was, “Throw them in the dustbin if you don’t want it.” This was extremely rude and unnecessary. Later, while waiting for our flight, I recorded a video of the café to share our experience. As we were leaving for our gate, the staff member came out of the café and recorded us on her phone, even though the matter was already closed and payment was done. This made us feel uncomfortable and intimidated. A simple accident involving a child was handled with zero empathy and complete lack of professionalism. This incident was a big disappointment and did not reflect the hospitality Thailand is usually known for.
Was informed that there was no milk and asked us to go for either Oat or almond milk without telling us there will be additional charges. It’s not expensive, 30Baht per cup. But feels like being cheated.
Gloria Jeans is fast coffee chain. They serve both hot and cold coffee drinks which are made upon order so your coffee drinks are always fresh. They also serve pastries here. There are no tables and chairs as this branch is purely for take away.
Friendly and accommodating, they made a nice strong latte with Oatley oat milk for me. They were out of coconut, but made a tasty watermelon blended ice drink for my companion, and took payment in mixed Baht cash and foreign card.
