Weekday mornings are the quietest
Open sewers near by so the stink was powerful. Mosquitoes were to much Rude staffs
I didn't stay here for the rooms, my boyfriend wanted to revisit it because he had lived here before. The place was honestly a quiet paradise in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. All you could here is the water hitting the docks. The wind in the trees. A bit of mosquitoes but it was to be expected. The place is also set up to sit and talk to whomever. It's really chill vibe.
Really cool atmosphere. I visited but would not stay here. The downstairs toilets were super dirty. Like shockingly dirty.
I was staying here 7 years ago, I loved it then, Met amazing travellers and had a great time, but this time it was completely different, The guy who works at the bar at night in the front yard, was very rude! never smiled or said hello, Unless you buy alcohol from him, he doesn't want you to sit in "his chair" and he will ask you to leave, which kills the whole vibe, It is such a shame! I don't recommend this place anymore.
I contacted staff by FB for a double room and they said they that it was all booked for our arrival. When we came they said it was fully booked and that we can have a dormitory just for ourselves. We decided to go somewhere else after seeing stained bed and poor cleanliness. It's really cheap though and fascinating with all the collection items.
