Beautiful café in a charming house, perfect for reading or relaxing with a good coffee or tea. The space is very aesthetic and cozy, ideal for taking photos. The garden and interior have a calm, peaceful vibe. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. A lovely spot to slow down and enjoy Chiang Mai 💕
I am writing to provide a complete account of my experience, as the management’s recent response has chosen to sidestep the core issues and instead offer a selective, dismissive version of events. This has only compounded the disappointment. Here is a detailed timeline of what actually transpired: · 2:00 PM: I had a scheduled afternoon tea meeting with two long‑unseen friends at this café. As I had a fixed commitment in Lamphun at 3:00 PM, I informed my friends in advance that I would only have about one hour for our visit. · 2:20 PM: I arrived at the café. Upon learning that my friends were delayed in traffic, I selected an empty table and, as a gesture of goodwill and intent to consume, promptly ordered a drink for my companion (an iced chocolate). I planned to order more once my friends arrived. · 2:49 PM: My friends finally arrived. Given the time, I could now stay for only 5‑10 minutes before leaving for my next appointment. To avoid ordering a drink I would have no time to enjoy—and to prevent waste—I politely informed my friends that I would not be ordering further and would leave shortly after a brief greeting. · The Critical Moment: The café was nearly empty (aside from our party of four, there were approximately two other customers). A polite female staff member reminded us of the minimum spend policy. While I was displeased by the inflexibility given my imminent departure, I understood her position. However, the situation escalated when i leave and turn back ,a male employee with thinning, grey‑white curly hair intervened. His demeanor was not helpful but confrontational. He used an iPad to mechanically translate the rules in a manner that felt deliberately intimidating and demeaning, as if addressing a severe violation rather than a customer who had already consumed and was communicating a change of plans. Key Points the Management’s Reply Conveniently Ignored: 1. I was a consuming customer, not loitering. A purchase was made immediately upon sitting. 2. I explained my time limit to both my friends and the staff. 3. The central failure was one of tone and empathy, not policy. The management’s defense of the “rule” while completely ignoring how it was delivered is telling. 4. Additional concerning practices observed: · A table inside was marked “Reserved,” yet staff indicated it would be given to us if we ordered four drinks. This suggests the “reservation” was a tactic to pressure higher spending, which is deceptive. As far as i know approached to order more if they stay over an hour with a single drink, confirming a culture of pressurized upselling over genuine hospitality. A establishment that values rigid enforcement over thoughtful service. If a mandatory fee is required, transparent models exist (e.g., The Baristro Asian Style, which posts policies and charges admission at the door). What is unacceptable is cornering customers with last‑minute demands after they are already seated. The male employee with thinning, grey‑white curly hair intervened in question has made it clear he does not care. Therefore, I can only caution others: if you seek a place where respect and understanding come before strict monetization of your seat, you may wish to look elsewhere in Chiang Mai. I certainly will.
Beautiful, cozy, and lovely place. I ordered toasts & scrambled egg, served with butter and delicious homemade strawberry jam (tasted even more like alpine strawberries). The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked. !The only thing i didn’t like was the way the toast was prepared. It was quite burnt, and could taste an unpleasant burnt taste. This happens when you put fresh toast bread in a very hot pan, instead of slow cook (in my own experience), but i can’t know exactly, so i don’t want to criticize. Maybe it was just one time mistake. Anyway, if the owner and kitchen takes this issue into account, it would be ideal and relaxing place to spend time with yourself or friends/family. The girls were very polite and helpful. Barista made a decent coffee, and i enjoyed it. Thank you!
A lovely clam place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind, polite, and always smiling, making a great impression from the moment you walk in. Coffee and drinks are excellent💗✨ ดีมากเลยค่าา
A incredible find. Delicious coffee, the most amazing scrambled eggs with homemade toast and jam and the absolutely delightful host. The garden is beautiful but it was a hot day so decided to sit inside, which was so stunningly decoration in a simple traditional style. Even the music was old, making this place feel like an historic gem. Would definitely come back!
