Overall we had a nice meal here- a Spanish omelet, a cashew tofu dish and several different drinks. We were a bit disappointed by the service. We waited for over 40 minutes for our meal and the drinks were also not brought out at the start. While we understand this is a family-run restaurant there was only one other table there, so the wait was quite unexpected. I was also told that they couldn’t make a fried pumpkin dish, but there was pumpkin in the cashew dish I ordered, so a bit confusing and disappointing. I do love all their veg options, but definitely some room for improvement.
We had a family lunch there. Was truly delicious. Especially the spring rolls, they were the highlight. Great vegetarian meal. Btw upstairs they have some yoga classes. It was 300 baht for 90min yoga class. Hatha. Very good.
Easily my favorite cafe in Chiang Mai, veggie and otherwise. We’re in town once a year, and it’s my first stop. Food is super-fresh, atmosphere welcoming and chill. Bring a book or chat with neighbors. I’m in the guest house this year for the first time, and it’s fine, but the cafe is what really makes the visit.
Tonight, we stepped away from the bustle of the Night Market into a quiet side street to find Bodhi. It was the perfect decision. We started with the Massaman curry, which was solid and flavorful, but the real stars were the Burmese Tea Leaf Salad and the fried rice—both were absolutely sensational. We finished the night with the mango cheesecake, which was a highlight. To top it off, the service was excellent; a French gentleman (who appeared to be the owner) was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. This is easily one of the best vegetarian spots in Thailand. Don’t miss it!
Lotus and Marc are very friendly people and the vibe in the restaurant is zen & friendly. Their food was super delicious! Had to try the khao soi, but also bay leaf salad. Both were supreme. Lotus also booked me a private driver out of town for one day; Competitive pricing and turned out great.
