Visiting Araksa Tea Garden was a truly serene and enriching experience. The atmosphere itself was calm and peaceful, setting the perfect tone for the tour. We began with tea leaf picking, which gave us a hands-on appreciation of the craft, followed by a detailed explanation of how the leaves are processed into the tea we enjoy every day. The highlight was the tea tasting session, where we were presented with 16 varieties of tea. It wasn’t just about tasting—it was an immersive learning experience. We explored brewing techniques, sensory evaluation, and the artistry behind each cup. The tea master was incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us with expertise and passion that made the session both educational and enjoyable. Overall, the visit was well worth the trip. It combined tranquility, cultural insight, and a deepened appreciation for tea. A perfect blend of relaxation and learning—highly recommended for anyone seeking a meaningful experience.
Afternoon tea today was truly something special and unforgettable, set in a 100% organic tea garden spanning over 300 rai in Mae Taeng. The atmosphere was serene and beautiful beyond words. I enjoyed a pot of delicately fragrant hot black tea, gently bitter in the most pleasant way, perfectly paired with freshly baked scones. I was warmly looked after by the lovely Khun Nid, the restaurant manager, whose hospitality made the experience even more memorable. I also had the opportunity to sample several other teas. The highlight—proudly presented by the general manager, Khun Benz—was their signature organic Thai tea. Bold yet beautifully smooth, with a subtle hint of vanilla, it was wonderfully refreshing. I couldn’t resist bringing some tea leaves home with me.🫖🌱🍵🍃
Visited this project during our trip to Chiang Mai and were delighted with the experience. They have an informative website with cost of tours clearly posted and ability to book in advance. I am handicapped and the majority of the premises is accessible for those who can walk short distances but more work would be needed to make the location wheel chair accessible. Even so, they adjusted the tour seamlessly to make my visit as pleasant as possible. The tour provided basic education in tea and hands on experience picking tea leaves for processing. The presentation was educational but concise enough to keep our attention without overwhelming us. The tea tasting that followed was delicious and the tea shop was filled with a variety of teas made onsite as well as tea accessories and tea pots made locally. We opted to stay after our tour to order lunch à la carte and the food was tasty and geared for international palates (meaning not Thai spicy 🤣) which I felt was very reasonable for those visiting Thailand to have a good experience. Those who enjoy really spicy food could request additional spice.
Beautiful project and the best experience here. We drove from Chiang Mai and it takes about an hour depending on traffic. We enjoyed picking tea leaves and learning about how different types of tea are made. The guide was friendly amd knowledgeable. We also had lunch at the on-site reataurant and the food was amazing. Don’t hesitate and book your tea experience at Araksa!
This tea farm we discovered on Google Maps and visited. We had the excursion about production of tea and how they made a type of tea, it was really nice and educative. Then we tasted some black tea and are some rice crackers and drank a green tea. Yes everything sounds good, where is the problem? The main problem is that no one from the staff told us that excursion cost 1300 bath. Wow , 1300 bath for what ? I understand that this place is modern, but this is too much. We didn’t pick any tea leaves and we didn’t have whole informations about that. I am angry that we had to pay this price.
