Szamos in central Budapest is a cozy, warm cafe - perfect on a snowy day. Great coffee and an impressive cake selection. The marzipan itself was excellent, but the marzipan cake felt a bit dry and not very fresh.

I ordered dobos and fruity cheese. The caramel shell on the dobos is so thick. The cheese layer of the cheesecake is really light, and the shape is not good. It is also wrapped in plastic paper when serving.

Just perfect! I love stylish and traditional places. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly service! Live traditional music and dances! The food was deli! Ps. Kids had 2 glasses of home lemonade and charged us 6x100ml

Szamos is a classic when in Budapest. I had a sandwich and a lovely slice of Esterhazy cake in the outdoor seating area. The staff were friendly and attentive. It’s not in the immediate hubbub, so it’s a nice break from the chaos of the city, but it’s still very conveniently located.
