A lovely little gem near our hotel, throughly enjoyed!
Conveniently located in the Opera House area of Budapest this restaurant has a nice atmosphere and broad menu. We stuck mainly to the Hungarian dishes and weren’t disappointed. The Goose breast and potato dumplings, seafood bisque, and pork tenderloin and potatoes were delicious. Our best meal in Budapest.
I had a fantastic experience at Sophie Budapest. The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, and the staff were genuinely outstanding—friendly, attentive, and, above all, honest, which is rare and refreshing. I tried the new hamburger on the menu and was pleasantly surprised. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and well-balanced in flavor, with fresh toppings and a soft, lightly toasted bun. You can tell they put care into the ingredients and preparation. The whole experience felt welcoming and unpretentious. I’ll definitely be back!
The interior was nice, the service was good and the meat and cheese platter was very tasty. Deduct one start for the pasta as all the pasta was cooked a bit too long. For Italian standards, we prefer our pasta a bit more al dente. Overall, it was a very nice meal and we enjoyed it.
Very delicious food with a friendly staff and service. There is a basement and gallery section to sit. Warm lights make the place more romantic. The pumpkin soup was very tasty. All food was nicely presented.
