Very pleasantly surprised by this place. It is a “basement” teahouse, so at first I wasn’t sure, but since people were waiting outside, I decided to give it a try. When I went, it was a full house, but I was lucky to get a table. Best masala chai I've ever had anywhere in the world, absolutely delicious. You can get it with milk or water. The cacao honey cake was just a little dry, but it still tasted delicious. I will definitely come back to try out their more traditional seating option at the back too
I'd say this is the most comfortable tea house I've ever visited. The oriental and authentic design of the interiors makes the atmosphere very relaxed. Taking off your shoes before entering the carpeted area makes you feel right at home. The Turkish rugs add to the ambiance. The teas and Russian cakes are also delicious.
An absolute hidden gem Went with 5 other family members and we were seated immediately and were given choice as to whether we wanted to go in a low table area in the back or tables in the front. The waitress was really nice and welcoming and the place was very affordable. The hot chocolate in particular was very thick and warm - definitely worth a try.
It's a lovely, hidden gem in Budapest, with a fun interior and nice tea. My friend and I went at opening time, and we had the whole place to ourselves. It was such a relaxing and calming experience. I definitely want to visit again.❤️ +The owner(maybe staff) speaks English, so friendly for non Hungarians as well.
Relaxed and cozy tea house, a nice place to come and relax and have some nice tea. You can sit at a low table with cushions on the floor and there are some cute enclosed or high up spaces to relax in, a bit like being in a children’s cubby house.
