Very disappointed. This is the driest pistachio bun I’ve ever tasted. The flavour was lacking as well, and the raspberry couli helped, but I could not believe how bad this was after all the glowing reviews. The place looks very nice, cosy atmosphere right next to the Grand Central Market
Amazing loft like cafe with a real Scandinavian feel. The coffee and all the baked goods taste amazing. The staff is really kind and the atmosphere is great. I would definitely recommend coming here for a coffee and some freshly baked goods. We will be back for sure!
We visited Freyja Bakery as a group of five. The coffee and desserts were enjoyable, with the cappuccino standing out for its quality and flavor. While the desserts were well prepared, the selection was somewhat limited. Overall, it is a pleasant place to enjoy a good coffee, and an expanded dessert menu would further enhance the experience.
Great place!! highly recommended for a good coffee, tasty and light milk buns with butter and cheese. They also have homemade granola with freeze-dried raspberries and delish raspberry jam- must try!! The owners are super cool and friendly. The staff is very helpful and always nice. Its my new favourite breakfast place now in town💛
Encountering Warm Sunshine Amid the Wheat Aroma 🥖 FREYJA Bakery Jan. 14, 2026 The most anticipated part of my daily outings is passing by FREYJA Bakery, where that rich, intoxicating wheat aroma hits me. Peering through the display window at the baker energetically kneading dough, the handmade warmth heals you even before the first bite. ✨ Heartfelt must-try recommendations: • Classic hand-rolled French bread: Purest wheat flavor, with a slightly crisp crust and chewy interior— the kind of classic that gets you hooked. • Poppy seed bread: Robust, layered aroma that leaves a lasting impression with every bite. The biggest surprise was the soft baguette the owner treated me to! Slightly warm, with a light and airy feel—the elasticity of the air pockets is evident when you tear it open. Drizzle it with olive oil, and the fruit notes blend with the oil’s richness for a rounded depth; spread on some cheese, and the subtle salty creaminess fuses perfectly with the wheat scent. This soft, savory interplay of flavors is like a ray of sunshine breaking through a snowy day—gentle, comforting, and heartwarming. ☀️
