Light, airy cafe & cultural space with garden, serving bar snacks, sandwiches, beers & hot drinks....
Great restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The food was a real pleasure, and the way the dishes were coordinated with each other was absolutely delightful. The service was also very friendly and professional. We felt extremely comfortable and would be happy to come back! 😊
Lovely food and atmosphere! We didnt book but got seated after 20 mins or so on a friday at 8.30pm. We sat in a back room which was lovely and cosy, it wasnt the large room you see on the main pictures but you do wall through there. The cocktails were lovely - christmassy which we liked! The Labane starter was DELICIOUS! And the shawarma was really good. Our waiter Ákos was so lovely and hospitable! Good vibey music whilst dining! Would definitely recommend!
Famous Israeli restaurant close to the infamous instant fogos. Definitely worth trying. I did not do any prior reservation and hence waited close to 10 minutes. The interior of the restaurant was really grand and beautiful. The service was quick and the staff were super friendly. I ordered crispy smashed baby potatoes with herbed yogurt and parsley potato for starters followed by DIY falafel sandwich. The food taste was really good. I would recommend it for sure when in Budapest. Happy Eating 🤤
I had a great experience at this restaurant and really enjoyed my visit. The atmosphere was very pleasant and made you feel welcome right away. The food was excellent – full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I especially want to highlight the bread and spreads: incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and an ideal start to the meal. Honestly, they were a highlight on their own. Overall, a restaurant I can highly recommend. I will definitely be coming back.
Mazel Tov sits right in the middle of Budapest’s action, and judging by the line stretching all the way to the street, everyone else already knows it. The décor is simple and beautiful, with the relaxed feel of an old courtyard filled with greenery. Even though the place was packed (apparently a normal state of affairs here), it was surprisingly calm and pleasant inside. Reservation strongly advised unless you enjoy standing in line contemplating life choices. We started with a Yemeni chicken soup that was perfectly spiced and generously loaded with chicken, followed by a roasted cauliflower with tahini and pomegranate that quietly stole the show. For mains, we went for the hummus falafel and the beef kebab platter — served on pita with excellent tahini, a seriously good chimichurri, a beetroot salad with cumin (loved that touch), and a Yemeni-style cabbage. Everything worked. Nothing tried too hard. Our dinner was accompanied by a bottle of white blend recommended by the staff. Great recommendation — so good that I forgot to write down the name, which I now regret, as I would have happily taken one home. Live music played throughout the evening, adding atmosphere without hijacking the conversation (always appreciated). We finished with a Jerusalem cheesecake, served in a Hungarian twist: on plum jam and topped with poppyseed cream. Unusual, unexpected, and very, very good. All in all — a great dinner, great vibe, and a place I’d happily return to.
