Macska

Macska is a creative, cozy, and playful sanctuary in District VIII. I spent an entire evening here—from opening at 16:00 until closing at 23:59—and felt completely at home. I highly recommend the upstairs floor seating; it’s incredibly comfortable and feels very safe and private. The lighting is perfect—dim enough for atmosphere but bright enough for a card game—and the music is eclectic but kept at a conversational volume. Don't miss the Hot Ginger Pot! It’s warming, delicious, and very affordable. The decor is edgy with lots of stickers and social commentary, which gives it a great "alternative" soul. Only deducting one star because the resident cat didn't grace me with its presence this time!

Amazing bar in the Budapest downtown. Only had drinks there but next time will definitely tru some food. The atmosphere is great, it is quite eccentric but very homely, on the gallery you can sit on the floor even as it’s covered in carpet! Love the decor and real plants too. The staff is very pleasant, the prices are great (650 huf for a pint of lager), overall highly recommend and will definitely come back!
