Velvet 52

This was a really nice place. We visited in the evening for a coffee. The lady who served us was super nice. The coffee was delicious. Cool area with lots going on.

The location was very nice and convenient. The rooms were very nice and clean. We requested a baby crib for our 10 -month-old. And upon our arrival the crib was done beautifully with a baby pillow and comforter and a little tear free baby shampoo. The only down side is that the breakfast was below average for the price they charged and the staff at the breakfast was extremely unfriendly, rather rude. The room was little too small especially with our luggage and baby crib.

There was an electricity problem in our room which almost got me killed - the plug was on fire one evening, filled the room with smoke (the smoke detector didn't work) and it also burned my hair straightener. They did moved us to another room but no manager talked to us, or apologised for the incident which could end up very bad. They didn't sims to care so I really hope they get fixed it because it's very dangerous! Beside that there's a huge construction site near the hotel which unfortunately was our room view - they didn't mention it which is a shame. The location is very central and super nice, close to all the sights and museums but the maintenance was very low. Room service was fine overall, but the cleaner kept forgetting her mops in our room and always forgot to clean or refill the coffee and tea table. The beakfast was ok but cheap with low selection of vegetables and not many choices (better go and have a fine breakfast outside). I really believe of the potential, they can get better, but for now I can't recommend it.

Great rooms, compact and clean! Also a pretty fridge (not overpriced) that comes in handy 😎

Location is good with underground and bus access straight out of the frontal door. The room were nice and the beds comfy. The staff was also very friendly and professional in spite of our lack of knowledge in German language. Overall it was a very nice experience! With bonus apples as well. Perfect!
