Sweets and Coffee in the Arcade at Potsdamer Platz was a terrible experience. The service was really bad — the staff were unfriendly and acted like they didn’t want customers there at all. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable because of their attitude. I definitely don’t recommend this place and will never go again.

Today 19/10/25 at 16.30 pm The cake was delicious! The cafe is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. 10 out of 10! The only issue was the service from one female employee (blonde hair, glasses). Her service seemed unwilling; she had a sullen/frowning expression and did not make us feel welcome.

If you want to be treated like a trash bag, this is the right place. Today, Sunday, October 19th, 2025, at 4:30 PM, a girl with a ponytail was in charge of ruining our afternoon break. The matcha latte and the forest fruit cake were delicious, but the service didn’t match the quality. We noticed that the rude attitude was directed only towards tourists or people who don’t look “German.” It clearly seemed racist — she was cheerful and friendly with some German customers, but the moment my husband, who is Thai, arrived, her face turned into one of pure disgust. Judging by other reviews, I’m clearly not the only one who’s experienced the same treatment, probably from the same waitress. I understand it’s not easy to work on a busy Sunday — I know, because I’ve worked in the service industry myself — but I’m sure there are people far more willing and professional to take that position. The photo isn’t particularly nice, but it’s just to prove we were there.

Best coffee that I have in Berlin by far. Oat milk. Beautiful crema... just done right and well prices. Friendly and quieter section of the mall. Mellow flavored roast.. 😋

We visited a cozy café in Berlin every morning during our stay. The service was consistently excellent, with friendly staff who made us feel welcome.
