They always have nice bouquet de fleurs on the tables which makes me delighted
Not as bad as one might think reading the comments here. Rosé wine was dark but pretty enjoyable and the duck rolls were yummy!
Completely unreliable place. It happened 3 times that the place is closed for private events. Those events are not announced anywhere and you only learn of them when you arrive to the door. Very frustrating. You cannot count on this place. A real pity.
We had been walking in a cold November day, we were heading to DDR museum, but needed something to tie us over until dinner. I was pleasantly surprised. The pumpkin soup was hot and flavorful. We also had the pumpkin lasagna, that was scrumptious as well. A nice quiet little spot close to all the touristy things. Service was fast and friendly. Do recommend.
My rhubarb cake looked as cute as me but sadly it lacked flavour. But that’s definitely not the biggest issue with this place - staff and waiting times are. I wanted to order by the bar but was sent to the table and told to wait for the waitress. After waiting for over 10 minutes for someone to hand me the card I eventually grabbed myself. I should’ve probably left by then but boy, I really wanted that cake. Finally a waitress approached and I said that I’m ready to order but I’ll change the table to the one in the shade (and away from noisy children). She replied that in this case I’ll have to wait for another waitress to take my order. Huh? I complained that this is taking a really long time and it’s unreasonably complicated. Her answer was “No it’s not”. I was speechless but still really wanted that cake! Silly me. The mean waitress is probably a manager of this place (blonde German lady) and should definitely learn some manners. After more than 20mins my cake finally arrived (two different waitresses were serving me and they were nice and kind) but as I already mentioned - nothing special.
