Weekday mornings are the quietest
It was great to have a cafe open later in the evening. We came here twice it was so good. The cheesecakes were simply delicious. We really liked the old style interior and the place was busy. It was just so handy for us about two minutes walk from our accommodation and right beside Checkpoint Charlie. Highly recommended but be prepared to wait, it is worth it.
A lovely and cozy cafΓ© β perfect for a short break and a good cup of coffee. I tried their waffle with my coffee, and it was really delicious, freshly made and nicely presented. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, making it a great spot to unwind for a while.
Place was surprisingly empty. I guess Sunday afternoon is not a crowded time. Since there really wasnβt any guests, the service seemed to be good. The coffee was also nice and sized correctly.
We went here after visiting the museum at checkpoint Charlie. Here you can buy coffee, tea, beers, wine and cakes and a small selection of food. They have a huge selection of cakes to choose from. We ordered a doppio, Iced mocha and a piece of raspberry cake. The coffee was OK and the cake tasted really good. Prices are a bit high but the atmosphere is great. You can enjoy watching all the tourists visiting Checkpoint Charlie while enjoying your coffee and cake. You can sit both inside and outside. I recommend this place for its coffee and the delicious cakes and good atmosphere
People, cars, sensations. A constant urban hustle and bustle. We sipped coffee outside (I had a beer), watched the passing metropolitan parade, and enjoyed the view. The service was less pleasant. Paying became a social experiment: First, we were told someone would come with a card reader. But no one came. Then we were suddenly told to go in. There was only more confusion. Particularly noticeable were the executive orders, reminiscent of the Prussian military. It felt like the Cold War, only without the nostalgia bonus. Unfortunately, the atmosphere contaminated and made the stay unpleasant. Two points deducted for what could be politely described as a "tense working atmosphere." Let's hope the coffee is fairer than the management structure.
