I had an outstanding breakfast experience at Cappuccino Grand Café in Berlin-Mitte, where the scrambled eggs stole the show with their fluffy perfection topped with creamy avocado, fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, and a sprinkle of seeds on warm bread. Paired with a rich Illy espresso and crisp water, it was a refreshing start overlooking the bustling street. Perfect Breakfast Dish The scrambled eggs were cooked to fluffy excellence, generously layered with ripe avocado slices, peppery seeds, and vibrant salad—every bite balanced flavor and freshness beautifully. This dish rivals the best brunch spots in Mitte, with generous portions that left me satisfied yet light. Exceptional Coffee Service The Illy espresso arrived hot and aromatic in a classic cup, complemented by attentive staff who refilled water promptly and created a welcoming vibe amid the cozy wooden interior. Service felt personal and efficient, turning a simple meal into a highlight of my Berlin visit. Café Ambiance Tucked on Tucholskystraße 36, the café offers prime people-watching through large windows, with modern decor and a warm atmosphere ideal for morning relaxation. It’s a gem for quality breakfast in Mitte, highly recommended for locals and travelers alike.
Very lovely and cozy brunch experience for a good start of your day with welcoming service. Tried omelette with mushrooms and ham, and apple pie matcha latte. So delicate and tasty - apple pie matcha was a surprisingly good combination, not too sweet and not overpowering matcha flavour.
THE WORST BREAKFAST I’ve ever had for 13€ We visited this place on recommendation and I have never had worse scrambled eggs. The eggs were too dry without some garnish. Next there was little bread and it was hard! Look at the photo. The service was quite friendly. Dont make the same mistake as us;)
Staff is fast but not friendly. They are just there but feels like they don’t make any effort to make you feel welcome. Awkward, but again, they do their job and it’s enough. Food: served fast, but pricey but that’s Mitte and rents are crazy for that size of store. Menu selection for all tastes. Small detail but makes difference: strawberries for the bowl were not fresh cut, looks dry and not fresh as might be there for some time. Not a big deal but not expected. For 12€, bowl could be bigger as no special ingredients included. Ambient: well decorated and cleaned. Some tables super close to each other but understandable. Good for going alone, dates or group of friends.
I stopped by this café with a friend in the afternoon. We ordered two drinks and a cake. The place has a cute, minimalist, pink aesthetic—fine for a quick meet-up, nothing more. The food and drinks were extremely basic, nothing memorable. Service was… neutral. Not friendly, not rude—just there. The space is larger than it looks, but somehow still awkward to sit in. Plenty of room, yet no comfortable spot to settle. Something about the layout just feels off. Overall, it’s okay for a one-time visit, but there’s nothing compelling enough to come back for.
