This brunch spot is lovely , small and intimate but good food and friendly staff . It gets very busy and we did have to wait for a table of 4. Staff speak good English.
Actually way more cozy in real life than in pictures online :) the menu is a bit smaller now but you can custumize dishes so thats not a problem. A bit pricey but overalls a very cute spot!
I was quite excited to try the pancakes, but unfortunately mine came out black on the bottom for all 3 :( Hoping it was a one-off, and it doesn’t happen to anyone else. But the berry compote was perfectly tarte and sweet. It is a smaller cafe, so going during off-hours helps or in groups of 2, max 4.
Food is expensive yet deficient in flavor. Eggs on bread were too spicy and salty. Avocado smash was bland, burrata lacked cream. Smoothie was minuscule and not very refreshing. I'm surprised the ratings are so high
If I ever want a beautiful, flavour-forward breakfast, Café Schrøder has officially entered my top three — anywhere in the world. The menu was impossible to resist (and we didn’t). From savoury dishes to the ricotta bread and the impossibly fluffy pancakes with berries, every plate impressed. Thoughtful vegetarian and vegan options, warm service, and a perfect way to start a sunny day in Berlin.
