Café M

OMG I went here in the mid-80s when it was called Mitropa. It was like being in a time warp, especially since smoking inside is still allowed, apparently. This is why I only give four stars, and once it got crowded, I couldn’t stay any longer. But great music, service, red moody lights, and excellent drinks. Did not order any food.

I won't tell you anything about this historical place /bar, founded in the eighties and never changed the interior Please, if your not living in Berlin, particularly Schöneberg, avoid this nice location and let the indigenous people Homo Schönebergensis have his drink here after work without any external distraction 😎😎😎

Use to go to Café M years ago for awesome drinks and a chill atmosphere. Now (10+ years later) im here in Berlin with my family and been looking forward to visit Café M again. First they did not accept card payments only cash so we went to the nearest ATM (700m) to get some cash. And then we found out they did not allow kids there. We just wanted to take a drink and hang out to finish off a great day in Berlin. Now we are just dissapointed at the lousy reception by the staff and we had to go elsewhere. Will not be going there again.

Bad coffee, bad cappuccino, bad latte macchiato but very kind employees always helpful and withal big smile. The place itself is beautiful, charming and in the middle of the nature.

History fact: David Bowie used to sit here, so who am I to judge? Smoking is pretty heavy, so you need to bear that. Coffee is just fine, atmosphere is a bit like "back to the eighties" but on the outsider punky note. For sure one of the cooler alternatives of this area
