House-made cakes, coffee & light lunch items served from a converted shipping container in a park....
I stumbled upon this place by chance as I was walking around and it was a great find. I had a coffee and a quiche and they were great. It was a bit rainy when I went which added to the mood of the place. I could sit outside as there are some umbrellas over some tables, but I was sitting at a table under a tree and it was just perfect. The lady working there was also very helpful in helping me choose what to eat.
Very Berliner coffee spot in the middle of gardens. Perfect to chill during a walk in the park surrounded by nature. None of the food looked very fresh unfortunately, so I would recommend bringing yours.
Very beautiful spot and chill atmosphere. But not worth coming back. Unfriendly, unmotivated service. Bad, stale, fatty & tasteless pastries and even the drinks are not very good. There was also something weird in the limonade…too bad! If you come here then get one of the closed limos.
I love the middle of nowhere....unless there's nothing to keep me there. But here, there's lots. Yeah, the gardens and furniture are very Berlin 1980 Iggy Pop. So is the menu and the food (microwaved quiche is so "lust for life"). The service has that 1980 coolness, and the whole thing is "the passenger" personified. Not a culinary or landscape experience. But a very useful 1980 experience in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of Berlin.
Nice cafe hidden away in the park - very Berlin :) they have a lot of vegetarian options too. I had a hot dog (3,50eur) and had a drink. You can pay by cash or if >5eur also by card. A lots of greenery. Birds flying around trying to steal your food 😅 The only downside was that the toilet is the public toilet in the park. For me, still worth for the “safe heaven” feel. Great if you have kids.
