Café & Bäckerei am Markt

Great experience, delicious food, good music (Latin american music). We visited the place at the end of a sunny day in June, the whole environment was quite nice, we felt so good, I definitely recommend the place if you want to eat something and relax during a beautiful day.

Lovely no-frills cafe by the river. A friend and I decided to have a coffee break here and were welcomed with very friendly service. The cafe is not very spacious, but comfortable enough to stay here for a sit-down meal. The walnut honey cake was quite nice, slightly on the dry side, but still pleasant. Coffee was normal (not third wave coffee but the normal, good kind of coffee you’d find in German cafes).

I tried zucchini omelet or sth call puff… was tasty but the fried oil hurt my stomach after. The variety of food is really good, I will keep try other non fried things.

You'll find this small and comfy place just before crossing the river. It offers a quiet space and a large choices of appetizers and beers to rest and take some energy back. The side-dishes plate was good, with hummus vegetables and other Mediterranean dishes. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely a good experience, worth trying!
