This is a really charming little restaurant – perfect for a relaxed lunch break if you’ve got business at the Ministry of Defence in Berlin. It’s up on the second floor of the Kulturforum, just head up the big staircase outside. The staff are super friendly, the lunch snacks are simple but tasty, and they’ve got good coffee and nice cakes too. Definitely worth checking out!

The cafe in the Kulturforum is an amazing find. The room is airy and beautiful. Food and beverages are well displayed. Deserts are amazing. Great choices in terms on taste and being visually appealing. Prices are reasonable for a comparable restaurant or cafe in Berlin. I had one dinner and one lunch recently there and was so happy with the main course and deserts. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this cafe. Entry to the cafe does not require museum attendance.

Maybe I was lucky. I had a delightful experience here. I usually go to cafés in art museums and sit there for a while. Oftentimes, the price is steep, but I enjoy the coffee break in between. I ordered an espresso and quiche, and it looked beautiful—and tasted just as good. When I was leaving, I said, “Thank you, the food was great,” and the server smiled back and said, “Thank you, enjoy your holiday.” I came back from the trip, and sometimes I think about the quiche and the server. It was August 2024, a Thursday morning. Maybe I was lucky, or maybe I was simply choosing to see things as beautiful.
