Today is my last cup of coffee in barcelona I enjoyed it here Beautiful place, nice people Gracias! Best regards, Ali
We stopped here for an early lunch whilst visiting the city and it was great, huge selection of sandwiches and pastries at a reasonable price. There was plenty of seating and all 8 of us sat together across a few tables. Toilets were also clean.
I had a very disappointing experience at this cafΓ©. The toilets were out of toilet paper, and the tables were dirty and not cleaned properly. The food was terrible, far below expectations. Additionally, many people were sitting with laptops for long periods, taking up space and making it difficult for others to find a place to sit. I definitely wonβt be coming back.
So, is this like Barcelona's answer to Starbucks? A very bad chain cafΓ© with bad, overpriced products? Seems that way. Went in the afternoon for some coffee and tea. The woman working was incredibly rude. Having never been to a Vivari before, we asked what teas they have. (Sometimes cafΓ©s in Spain don't have any tea, or they only have strange "infusions". The menu did not state the tea choices.) She looked at us, rolled her eyes, and answered very rudely, "Yes. We have lots of tea." And then waved dismissively at the tea boxes far down at the other end. I understand not wanting to list every flavour, but you can say, "Yes, we have tea. Our choices are over there." Polite, easy. Or, since the place is empty and she had nothing else to do, ask, "Which tea are you looking for?" That would be excellent service. But no. We then ordered black Ceylon tea and she said, "Oh, Earl Grey." No, not Earl Grey. That is different. She made a fuss of getting the Ceylon box down since it wasn't as easy to reach as Earl Grey. Her behaviour was baffling. Overall, very unpleasant person. And it's expensive. That was all we needed to learn about Vivari. We will not try any other location.
Really clean and lovely cafe with a great interior design and big windows making the inside bright. The coffee and tea are good as well. It's a very good place for reading books or working online.
