Super cozy and relax enviroment
It's fine for what it is, a coffee/bakery chain. A large group came in and completely ruined any atmosphere by being incredibly loud, making it difficult for everyone else.
While waiting for my coffee i spent an entertaining few moments watching numerous flies hop from entrepan to magdalena to empanadilla under the glass display. I left after drinking half of my tepid coffee con leche. On the bright side, I did manage to lose about two kilos due to sweating in the suffocating heat in the place as they had decided that air conditioning wasn't necessary. It was a huge relief to step back out into the fresh air of beautiful calle Verdi on a cool April afternoon. So at least the contrast with this terrible cafeteria allowed me to enjoy wonderful Gracia even more 😃
This is a coffee and bakery chain, not one of the quaint and charming ones in Gracia. However, since it was a holiday, only a handful of cafés were open and we chanced upon this one. Actually, my friend and I just wanted a place to rest and use the washroom😂 but of course we had to order something, right? We settled for freshly squeezed orange juice for 4.20 euros each and wow, it was well worth it! I saw the restaurant staff drop at least 6-8 of the fruit into the machine, so it's not like it was from a bottle. The glass was large, full to the rim and it was incredibly sweet. In fact, after drinking about half, I asked for some ice to tame down the sweetness. For the savory part, we chose goat cheese and tomato topping on French bread. We were pleasantly surprised ! The slices of goat were so generous. Really good. As for the ambience, it was generally quiet except for the customer a seat away from us who was talking aloud during an online meeting. That is so crass and disrespectful. Another thing, the staff were making such loud noises with the while cleaning up. At one point, we were even wondering whether they haf broken some dishes. In all, though, our merienda at this café was a welcome respite.
Absolutely horrible customer service. Customers are not welcome, they can’t sit at table. The lady working is extremely rude and arrogant, and doesn’t even bother to say hi or try to explain that we can’t sit down (even though we were there an hour before it closes). Please do not come to this place, unless you want to be treated like rubbish.
