The Vil-la Florida Civic Center is located at number 540 Muntaner Street in Barcelona, ​​within the gardens of the same name. The site was once a farmhouse, as the first documented reference to the Villa appears in a 1603 will describing it as an agricultural estate. After passing through various owners, it was remodeled into a stately home. Later, in the mid-20th century, the building housed the Villa Florida School of Childcare, which was under the General Directorate of Health of the Ministry of the Interior and trained students in childcare. It ceased providing this service in the late 1980s and, since 2007, has been the Vil-la Florida Civic Center, specializing in healthy living and nutrition.

This community center is located in a 16th-century farmhouse surrounded by a beautiful garden. Like any good community center, it offers activities for seniors, meeting rooms, screening rooms, and more. There is also a restaurant with a peaceful terrace in the garden and an interesting menu at reasonable prices. This building was formerly a nursery school, and you can still see the name on the metal entrance door on Muntaner Street.

The building that is now the Vil·la Florida Civic Center is an old manor house from the 16th century. A property that occupies an entire block between the streets of Muntaner, Reus, Sant Gervasi de Cassoles and the street of Bisbe Sivilla. Its history is closely linked to the historical, social and urban development of Sant Gervasi. Its beautiful garden is an ideal place to walk or sit and read.
