I haven't been there in years, but it's still the same: good artisan products at fairly reasonable prices. It's held every May 11th, no matter what day it falls on. A must-see at least once.

May 11th is the feast day of Sant Ponç or Saint Pontius, patron saint of herbalists, medicinal plants, and beekeeping. In Barcelona, ​​the fair is held on Carrer Hospital. ⠀ Since the Middle Ages, this fair has been dedicated to medicinal herbs, and in the 16th century, when it was Christianized, May 11th was made to coincide with the feast day of Sant Ponç, as this is the flowering season and peak season for most medicinal herbs. ⠀ Once again, I've come loaded with HERBES REMEIERES (Herbs of Remeier), with rosemary, thyme, mint, bay leaf, horsetail, lemon verbena, and this year, oak and holm oak honey. Did you know that the tradition was to bring herbs and plants to be blessed by the priest and then place them under the bed because it was believed to have great healing powers? ... Pure aromatherapy!
