PHILOSOFIA Book Café

The coffee is very good, the atmosphere is pleasant, there is always something to read)) but the food is not that great - the sandwiches definitely not worth the money. And not so long ago they had beautiful napkins with portraits of philosophers, but they were replaced with ordinary black ones.

The waiter (Pablo) was super lovely, it was quite refreshing to have some proper customer service. This guy deserves a medal. The baristas on the other hand don’t even know how to make a decent coffee, both our coffees were lukewarm and when asked to have them warmed up they returned volcanic hot. @barista - I’m sure your parents are really proud you can’t even make a coffee.

We went for my partner due to the good reviews regarding their gluten free selection for bunch. When we arrived we were told that there was no gluten free bread and only a small cookie in a bag available gluten free. Disappointing! Atmosphere was nice, I ordered a cinnamon roll (I am not GF) and it was tiny!! Service was friendly.

Beautiful quaint cafe in Grand Hyatt Barcelona. Decorated with books it gives a library atmosphere. Nice small menu and good place to relax for a drink

The books! The atmosphere! The music. Loved the setting and the pastries looked great although I did not have any. The coffee was too strong for me and a little bit burned but the place is amazing. It is pricy. 3 times what a coffee in any bar is charged, twice what other coffee shop charges. It does not have outlets to plug in devices so come and READ!
