Marta's Lemon Pie (L'illa Diagonal)

We had a carrot cake and two coffees. Both were very good. The staff was super nice and gave us a huge piece of carrot cake. We loved it.

-Please clean your coffee machine. It looks disgusting. -Train your people about ingredients and allergens. ‘I don’t know’ answer, equals to ‘I don’t give a crap’ and doesn’t speak good about your business.

As dedicated Lemon Merengue affizionados we just couldn't resist when we stumbled across Martas. And we were not dissapointed: The lemon pie was fresh and perfectly balanced and the whole ambience felt nothing short of classy. Highly recommended if you have a hanker for Lemon pie.

The lemon pie was tasty with a soft merenque on top, a delicious lemon curd in the middle and a crisp pie bottom with a subtle cimnamon. I really liked it. Their espresso was not as good as their pie. The service was good and it wasn't expensive. The renovation works of the garden was noisy, dusty and affecting the atmosphere in a negative way.

Good cake and cappucino but veeeeery slow service. There was no clients and it took like 15min to get my cake and cappuccino.
