L’Artesana Poblenou: The Unlovely Room That Serves Barcelona’s Best Lunch Deal L’Artesana de Poblenou is a disorienting little place: not especially pretty, not especially comfortable, and yet—somehow—essential. The room feels more utilitarian than charming, as if the décor gave up early so the kitchen could keep going. And keep going it does. Their weekday lunch menu is one of the city’s great bargains, the kind that makes you reread the price because it doesn’t match the care on the plate. It’s “normal food” only in the sense that it’s recognizable—Catalan-leaning, seasonal, built on good product—then executed with a seriousness that belongs to far pricier tables. The clever part is how they handle reality: when a certain ingredient costs more, the menu allows for sensible add-ons, so generosity doesn’t become self-sabotage. Wine is brief but not boring—short list, a few genuinely interesting picks—though if someone orders one of the better bottles, the experience deserves better stemware. We love L’Artesana. The portions are just right for the price—not too overwhelming! The food is very tasty, and the restaurant has a chill vibe tucked away in a quiet area of Barcelona. I wish I’d gotten to try the croquettes—definitely coming back for those!

Very interesting place that we stumbled upon on our way to the beach. We decided to get the lunch set course, I had lasagna, pork cheeks and a pana cotta all of which were served quickly. Very surprised to see the reviews of other people with complaints about the serving size as I was pleasantly full after this meal. Overall this place serves great food, service is great as well and the ambience is superb with air conditioning to beat the summer heat. Two thumbs up!! 👍👍

Perfect Menu del dia!! So delicious, portions are big as well, and the quality of the product is brilliant. The platting is super pretty as well, would deffo come back!
