Every dish was a hit. Spiced duck rolls, octopus croquettes and dessert were amazing surprises on the menu. Such great hosts - can’t wait to come back.

It looks like a tapas bar that put on its nicer shirt, still casual, still Catalan at heart, but polished enough that you feel like you stumbled into the slightly upgraded version of what you expected. It was my pre-flight wildcard, one of those concierge suggestions you half-dismiss until you’re seated and realizing, okay, maybe this will pan out. The patatas bravas were the first real signal. Crisp corners, tender centers, and a tasty housemade sauce. Then came the mackerel crudo, the outlier of the night. The texture hovered between rubbery and reluctant, the flavors murky, the aroma… further than that. One bite was plenty. The vegan croquette was a rebound, arrived with a golden shell and that satisfying temperature contrast when you break it open. The meat-stuffed potato landed similarly, piping hot and savory. Even the grilled zucchini with labneh felt like a thoughtful pause, smoky edges, tender slices, and tangy labneh that tasted brighter than expected. Bar Puntal won’t rewrite your definition of tapas, but it doesn’t need to. It’s the kind of place that delivers when you want an easy, unfussy meal before moving on, whether that’s catching a flight or just exploring the city.

Oh my god ! Strolling by the city, out of the blue we stopped at Bar Puntal in a random Sunday evening, and it was the best decision ever. The drinks are marvellous, the food (highlight to the pumpkin croquetas) are from heaven. Very much recommended for eating and drinking !

Amazing bar for some delicious gourmet tapas, I loved that the food was made based on local supply and organic! Also the service was super friendly and explained the plates for everyone and the food was super tasty 😋

10/10 will be back again. Was suggested by a local and didn't disappoint. Really great food at a reasonable price. There are so many tourist traps around, skip them and come here. Stop reading and head over, now! They are seasonal so menu changes by season, the best kind of restaurant
