El Trencadís

We visited on a Sunday and opted for the Menu Especial Fin de Semana. At 25.90 €, it’s a fantastic deal that includes a starter, main, dessert, bread, and drinks. While the lack of an English menu caused a few hiccups, the waiter was very helpful with recommendations. For starters, we had the Seafood Paella and the Fideuá (a delicious toasted noodle dish) served with a rich all i oli. For the mains, we tried the Secreto Ibérico (marinated grilled pork) and the Galta al Horno (roasted pork cheek). The portions were surprisingly generous—so much so that we were still full by dinnertime! It’s a great spot for an authentic, filling Spanish lunch.

We were served right away. Although there is no English menu but the translation from the phone works well for us to order the seabass and the grilled chicken. Chicken thigh was cooked to just nice and the seabass fish although a bit of bones to take out but the taste is marinated well. The environment is cosy…

I loved the atmosphere and the staff were very accommodating with my kids. Excellent value for money for a traditional restaurant in the heart of Barcelona. Definitely recommend.

Although the restaurant isn’t very large, the interior decor and seating create a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. We ordered two set meals, which included four dishes and two desserts—each one was absolutely delicious. Paired with a jug of Sangria, it was the perfect treat for a hot summer day. The owner and staff were friendly and courteous, and the server who helped us, Aina, was always smiling, warm, and beautiful. The overall dining experience was wonderful—I highly recommend coming here and trying it out for yourself.

Fantastic and delicious Spanish food is served here! That's a place where locals go. Food was really good! Prices are fair! Staff was very friendly, efficient and accommodating! Menu is short but quality is definitely there! I can truly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!
