El Café del Teatre

Lovely, intimate but lively natural wine and tapas bar. Excellent tapas menu. All homemade and made-to-order fresh with seasonal ingredients. Lots of GF and Veg options too. Very knowledge and friendly staff. Range of excellent natural and more traditional wines with nice cocktail and beer menu as well. Had a wonderful meal with some funky natural orange and white wines, bravas, tuna belly, and seasonal calçots, which were the highlight. Great for a couple or small group but larger groups might have trouble getting seated.

I used to go to this bar very often, once a week at least and since ive moved to another neighborhood i come at least once a month. I remember it having very nice atmosphere, the service was not great but not too bad and the food and drink were always delicious. Lately I’ve visited again as it was my favorite place in whole barcelona and it took 20 mins to get the waiter come to our table, they were busy chatting. Then we have ordered cheese board becayse i remember seeing it few months ago and wanted to try because it looked awesome. Unfortunately i didnt take a picture because i was too shocked, but it was literally 2 slices of thin cheese with half slice of dry bread. I was so shocked and speechless, my favourite spot in barcelona became one of the many scam places. And it was sooo noisy and loud, plus the loud music , not possible to have a conversation. Its a shame really. Edit to add: 90gram of chese for 8.40 means the 1 kg of the cheese would be almost 100€ which i doubt. Its just really shame, and sad to see how yoy take criticism. I know ive been going for years and i find it important to mention that i saw very big differences between last and this year served food.

This is my favorite bar in Barcelona. The food is sooo amazing (best patatas bravas), really good natural wines ! The prices are really nice for the quality of the food + really nice staff ! You will love it ⭐️

Very tasty daily menu - fresh and healthy (11.5€). Great music, cozy atmosphere and nice service.

One word. WOW! What a rare local find. Great little cafe with a nice view down the street. Get the Eggs Cooked at a Low Temperature!
