Churrería Laietana

Awesome spot to try traditional Xurros. Several toppings available and continuously made freshly. The fry is light and not oily. The Xurros are tasty, light, really great. Must do experience while waking the gothic quartier. 6 churros + hot choco= 5 euro

I'm giving it 2 stars because it's edible, but not pleasurable. I now see all the high ratings are from tourist being that they are the only people that were there when I went last night. I grew up eating a lot of churros and these are probably one of the worst ones I've had. They were extremely overcooked to the point that the sugar didn't stick to them. The sugar was just laying on it, and the moment you pick it up the sugar will fall off. Also they had a bit of a burnt taste or maybe it was the oil. I couldn't tell.The hot chocolate wasnt sweet either. There are a lot of churro places in the city; I definitely would skip this location.

I had churros con chocolate and they were so delicious. Highly recommended! I loved how you can see the churros process in front of you so you feel how fresh they are.

All churros were freshly made, which explains there's always a queue. We ordered a combination of porras and churros with hot chocolate. I was surprised how fluffy the porras was as I expected it would be quite heavy, yet it was so airy, just like Youtiao, while the flavour was like ox-tongue pastry. I prefer porras as I liked the stark contrast of its crispness outside and fluffiness inside, while churros were more on a crunchy side. I love how they had cinnamon on the side where we could adjut the flavour, based on our preference.

Best churros I have ever had in my entire life. The chocolate was thick and tasty. Place is rather small so it was not easy to get a seat but we got lucky(people also come and go quickly so just need to be a lil patient). I highly recommend this place.
