Café Babel

Really cool place to have tapas. The service is quick, and the portions were big. Everything is quite simple, but still delicious. I would recommend it to everyone visiting Barcelona. It also located in a beautiful almost secret spot.

The bar is located in a very nice place where the outdoor sitting is, cool, calm and historical. We had beer and Nachos and it was an exciting time, the man serving the order is very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely visit again

Babel definitely makes me babble about this place! A quintessential tavern serving tapas set in the gothic district has an enchanting vibe and mysterious nature. The welcoming staff give you a preference of indoors/outdoors, see pics to take your pick. I went with the recommendations suggested and they were spot on! The only suggestion I would say is to choose between either provolone or butifara as both come with bread so might want to mix it up a bit. However, all three tapas satisfied the three P's- price, portions and piquancy. Definitely recommend if in the area to savour their specialities!!

Just came here for drinks (but the food looked very good and the other customers looked pleased), the drinks are fairly priced and delicious. This is a nice little retreat from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, tucked away in an art quarter of sorts. I came here three times because I so enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, prices and sangria. The staff seem to be lovely people too.

One of the coolest and best bars I’ve been to in Barcelona and also Europe, loved it so much, nice and local, really humble and quite to with great music on as-well. Also the Barman, Lucio from Argentina, great guy, was really welcoming and respect, also got a free lemoncello which is one of my favourite drinks ahaha. But great Estrella on tap and amazing tapas dish’s. All in all a great bar to visit when you come to Barcelona, cheap, humble and chill.
