fresh seafood loved the scallops with pesto sauce packed with locals meatballs fair enough but would stick with ordering seafood

First place we ate in Barcelona and it set the tone perfectly. We had a late lunch in the Gothic Quarter, the vibe was great, and the waiter gave really friendly, attentive service. Relaxed, welcoming spot that felt like a true intro to the city.

The best bar à tapas in town ! Located inside the market Mercat de Santa Caterina - take your place by the counter and enjoy the experience! Local tapas prepared directly for you on the spot and also excellent cava to accompany it all. We love it and will be back again !

Just walking around and not planning to eat, but when you’re in a market it does spike the appetite. So we managed to get three seats at the bar counter. So glad we did. The seafood salad with the balsamic vinegar, soooooo good. Mushrooms dish of the day, so tasty, scallops tender and flavorsome, really all the food was good. I saw some of the beef and fish main courses going out, they also looked amazing. Of course the trick is to get a bar seat.

It is in the mercat de st. catharina! many locals come starting from the morning. we ordered tortillas, sephia ala plancha which has a very nice traditional taste with salsa verde and aioli, then their sapichon de pulpo is also delicious. with cortado and zumo de naranja are all perfect! owners are lovely too. never visit barcelona by missing this humble restaurant yet perfect.
