Starbucks

Stopped by here on my first day in Bangkok. As always, Starbucks had great Wi-Fi and I was able to get my eSIM set up. Plenty of space to work!

Ordered toffee latte with skim milk, because the barista suggested it (when I ordered normal latte) BUT it tasted very watery. Told the barista, made me another one, tasted the same = like brown water. He was talking to me like I never had Starbucks coffee. I gave it a try then I couldn’t drink so left it there. Total waste of money!

I ended up going to this establishment over one month and have to say it was great service through and through till today where I will NOT return. I went to the starbucks and ordered my food in which I paid with my credit card it got declined and I thought maybe the card was locked when in which it wasn't at all.. so she tries it again and it is declined again. No notification on phone of charge going through on credit card. The older lady asks if I have another card in which my debit card I hand her. She tries it and it declines again. I kindly Inform the older lady that the card terminal is not working possibly to a terminal error between the POS system and card reader or the connection. So she ignores me and says that the machines work and that it's my cards with a attitude and uses the other terminal which doesn't work. I respond again and let her know that both terminals are down and a local next in line ends up using his own card and it doesn't work either. Then they apologize and have me enjoy my meal till they solve it but HELD my card but not theirs. Extreme discrimination like i would walk out on the meal. I am a EUROPEAN and my parents come from money. This is when the final straw was for me I ended up getting my card back when I told them I would get cash and to wait till I return. I then went to retrieve cash after scrambling to find a ATM nearby and when I return they disrespect me further and began to check my money to see if it's "REAL" that's when I told them to give me my change and let them know how disrespectful and ignorant and discrimative they are in which they apologized and I walked out. If you wanna be disrespected and look down upon then come to this location. After coming here all month and about to finish my trip I will NOT return to this location after my last few days of vacation before I return to latin america. Don't judge a book by it's cover because you didn't know how powerful my family is. But I don't homd grudges. Hit em where it hurts and that's their pockets. ASE 🔥

This is a great starbucks. Open late, lots of outside and inside seating, has decaf coffee. Snacks I tried are average. Coffee is decent.

The space of this Starbucks branch is designed to be comfortable for co-working as well as relaxing at home.
