My favorite coffee and tea place. The price is so reasonable comparing to other hip-and-happening shops. Their beans are locally sourced from small vintage in the north of Thailand. They also have Japanese vintage tableware too.
Nice place focused on developing specialty coffee culture in Thailand. This place is about coffee beans, not about sugary drinks you can try everywhere in Bangkok. Here you can try a fine hand-brew from local beans. Staff is very friendly. They also sell some nice ceramic here.
The coffee shop serves single origin arabica coffee produced at high altitude of 1400-1500 meters above sea level in a deep mountain in Mae Chan Tai Akha trival village in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The vllage farmers won 3rd, 5th, 6th and 8th Thailand National Specialty Coffee Awards in 2023. You can choose dark roast or medium-dark roast for american coffee veverages (starting from 60 bahts), besides hand brewed drip coffee (60 baht) and cold brew (70 bahts).
I really love the community-owned initiative that the coffee growing community in Mae Chan Tai is doing. If anything I hoped the shop was located in a more prime location, as probably only office workers and locals would know this shop. the shop itself is modest, and the coffee (ASL) was a bit light for me (I prefer it to be a tad stronger, probably just need more coffee grounds). But in the morning you can easily get some snacks in the food court and your coffee (maybe your groceries as well??) at the same time for a nice, chill breakfast. I ended up buying a medium roast bag back home, but eager to try the geisha next time as well. I hope I will get the chance to visit Mae Chan Tai.
Hidden gem (under the staircase)! You will find it when you take the stairs to TOPS supermarket! Excellent ambience, calm and lovely place to have your preferred coffee/tea away from all the noises. Had orange with coffee, my first time trying such and must say it was best! The place has Japanese pottery and also have co working space! The coffee brewer was so kind and friendly!
