The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant – the place is nice, calm, and comfortable to sit in. The service is also faultless: friendly, smiling, and helpful. Unfortunately, the food leaves quite a lot to be desired. The papaya salad was weak, and the other dishes were really average, lacking flavor and anything memorable. The kitchen definitely needs to work on improving these dishes, because with such a nice venue you would expect something much better. Overall: great ambiance and service, but culinarily just mediocre for now.
We had the set A breakfast, it wasn’t mentioned on the menu but it also included fruit! What a win! The food/coffee are good, it’s a nice atmosphere and the man serving us was friendly. Only downside is that it can be quite noisy since it’s next to the main road near the train station. But I suppose that comes with the convenience
The place is very easy to find. The food was great and tasty. Their tom yum soup is a must try, it’s full of flavour and it was not too spicy (which is perfect for me). Plus points for the staff, they were very accommodating, and the man who I think might be the owner was extremely friendly and communicated very well with the customers. I will definitely come back and eat here again when I’m in Bangkok.
The food was great…. Esp the seasoning like sauce with lemon, and the herb taste too. But if they do more hygiene that would be great. Chair so dirty…. Toilet can be more hygiene, it’s beside the kitchen Anyway a friend of mine the tomyam is good! Thanks
511 Café & Bistro is such a hidden gem near the old Hua Lamphong station! We tried the stir-fried squid with chili and basil—packed with flavor and just the right kick. The mango sticky rice was fresh and not overly sweet, and both the mocha shake and coconut smoothie were super refreshing, perfect for the Bangkok heat. The café has a cozy, welcoming vibe, friendly staff, and a great view of the historic train station. No parking, but totally worth the visit! Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
