Weekday mornings are the quietest
Very quiet and cozy. One of the best places to read in Bangkok. And it's free!
Nice library in a really cool architectural building. They have a decently wide selection of English books too making it helpful. You can't take anything inside but water but they have free lockers.
A beautiful library and a very quiet, peaceful place. There is a huge selection of books, all perfectly organized in a clear and systematic way. I was even surprised to find a book about the Czech Republic, which was a nice touch. The entrance is free for one day, which makes it even better. I definitely recommend visiting at least once — a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere.
A source of knowledge in the centre of Bangkok. There are many books and good exhibitions. Cool weather. Suitable for people who want a quiet space. Not noisy
A calm and classy public library, perfect for architecture lovers and tourists. The Bangkok City Library combines Western architecture with Thai art, built between the 1932 revolution and the war years. Its design blends Art Deco elements with traditional Thai patterns and materials. The lighting is carefully designed for reading areas, creating a comfortable atmosphere. It offers a great mix of Thai and international books and is located near Khao San Road, making it a perfect stop before heading to party! (Needed passport to get in)
