Such an underrated place! I got the recommendation from a friend who lives nearby to try this place. Had the milk toast with ice cream, hot milk, and Thai iced tea. Everything was so tasty! Will 100% return 👍 I really appreciate that even the shop is in a tourist area, the prices are still local and very reasonable. Give it a try if you’re in the area and want to experience Thai-style bread desserts!
Nice thai dessert shop. The toast was tasty and the Thai tea drinks were great. Also the fresh milk is really good. All of them not too sweet, just right. Staff are friendly and service is good. Only downside is no parking.
Dip and filling; 5/5 Bread: 4/5 Bread taste is mid( just normal bread). But flavor is enhanced and toasted under the charcoal grill. Drink: 4/5 Good enough milk but not mind blowing Atmosphere: 5/5 Comfort:3/5 Very hot in the afternoon to late afternoon and chairs are not that comfy. Cleanliness: 3/5 Sat on an empty table but can see there are wet marks on the table from not being wiped thoroughly Suggestion: take out the items or eat late at night when its not hot and humid anymore
Nestled along the lively Maha Chai Road, TimNomSod is more than just a spot for late-night snacks—it’s a haven for those seeking an atmosphere as comforting as its menu. As the sun sets, the eatery transforms into a glowing retreat, its seating area along the footpath illuminated by enchanting fairy lights. The warm, romantic ambiance, complemented by soft Thai melodies drifting from the speakers, makes it an irresistible destination for couples and groups of friends alike. The atmosphere is the heart of what makes TimNomSod so special. It’s a place where the hustle of Bangkok fades away, replaced by an inviting charm that encourages you to slow down, relax, and enjoy simple pleasures. The cozy setting is perfect for intimate conversations or unwinding after dinner, surrounded by a sense of nostalgia and tranquility. At the heart of the menu is Kanom Pang Ping (ขนมปังปิ้ง), a traditional Thai grilled bread snack that’s beloved for its comforting simplicity. Often enjoyed as a late-night street food treat, it’s both nostalgic and satisfying. The bread is grilled over charcoal for a smoky aroma, then paired with a variety of sweet or savory toppings to suit any palate. It’s particularly popular as an after-dinner snack or a companion to casual conversations late into the night, making it a perfect choice for the relaxed setting of TimNomSod. We sampled the Toast with Pandan and Thai Tea Dipping (45 THB), a signature favorite, alongside the Toast with Milk Cream (45 THB) and a glass of Fresh Milk (35 THB). The Pandan and Thai Tea dips delivered a perfect balance of sweetness and fragrance, while the milk cream filling in the toast was generously portioned and indulgent. The fresh milk, light and refreshing, was the perfect complement to the richer flavors of the toast. While the bread was pleasant, it could have been toasted longer for a deeper crunch and warmth. Perhaps the charcoal hadn’t reached its peak heat when we visited. That said, the overall value for money is undeniable—six pieces of toast for just 45 THB, a rare find in Bangkok’s bustling street food scene. The menu is extensive and sure to delight any palate. Here's the full list of their delectable toast dips: - Pandan and Thai Tea Dipping - Chocolate - Milo and Sweetened Condensed Milk - Butter + Sugar - Butter + Sweetened Condensed Milk - Butter + Sweetened Condensed Milk + Sugar - Crunchy Ovaltine - Crispy Choco Crunch - Nutella - Peanut Butter - Dried Shredded Pork + Chilli Paste - Orange Jam - Strawberry Jam Despite being located on a main road, the space remains quiet and safe, with minimal foot traffic passing by. The service was warm and accommodating, enhancing the already relaxed and welcoming vibe. TimNomSod is not just a place to eat—it’s an experience. Whether you’re drawn by the nostalgia of charcoal-grilled bread, the chill atmosphere, or the affordable menu, it’s a spot well worth visiting. Perfect for a casual outing with friends or a cozy date night, this little nook delivers comfort food at its finest.
Classic Thai dessert shop. They don’t sell alcohol. People come here for the sweet toast. The place is a bit like a hole-in-the-wall bar but in nice. Very nice atmosphere. Lots of young Thai couples. It’s always busy late at night. Prices are very reasonable. A slice of condensed milk toast and a Thai milk tea are about 100 Baht.
